London Storytellers Project

The London Storytellers Network empowers individuals in London with lived experience of asylum or migration – and the organisations that support them. Through free, targeted training, mentorship and strategic support, the project amplifies the voices of migration, builds confidence, and strengthens the sector’s ability to engage with the media, policymakers, and the public.

Media Training for Storytellers

Our Media Training for Storytellers supports people with lived experience of being a refugee or migrant. The training covers the current media landscape, what to expect in interviews and interactions with journalists, how to get your message across, and how to use storytelling as a campaigning tool. It also includes safeguarding guidance and practical tips on using social media to share your story safely and effectively.

Impact Communications Training

Our tailored communications training helps grassroots organisations that support migrants and refugees build confidence in working with the media. We explore the principles of ethical storytelling, how to support people with lived experience to speak publicly, how to engage journalists to advance your mission, and the latest insights into using social media for impactful advocacy.
