Get involved

Here’s how you can play your part alongside IMIX in our mission to challenge and humanise the often-hostile narrative on migration and displacement.

Share your story

If you want to be part of changing the narrative about migration and would like to share your own story with the media, we would love to support you to make this possible. This could be your first step in joining our growing network of Media Volunteers, who are a group of media-trained, experts-by-experience available to be interviewed by journalists.

Join our network

Be part of the IMIX Communications Google group for those working in the refugee and asylum sector. It provides an online space for private discussion of communications and media in relation to migrant, refugee and integration issues in the UK. Members are limited to those working in the sector.

Sign up for training

Whether you join one of our free online media masterclasses or want to organise in-person bespoke training for your organisation, IMIX can empower you to work with the media to paint an authentic picture of migration with confidence.

Request Communications Support

Good communications can change how people think and feel about migration. But many organisations are stretched thin, without the time, confidence or capacity to tell their stories and reach the audiences that matter.

That is where we come in. Whether you need a quick steer, a one-off workshop or ongoing hands-on support, IMIX is here to help. Much of what we offer is free to the sector, and where you need something more tailored, we provide paid training and consultancy on a fair, sliding scale.
