IMIX is looking for a new trustee with lived experience of immigration

Posted by Katherine Maxwell-Rose on April 29, 2021

Do you have lived experience of the immigration system? Would you like to be part of shaping a better conversation for people who make their home in the UK?

From Windrush to shining a light on EU citizens’ rights to shaping media narratives on the Channel crossings, IMIX is at the heart of some of the biggest migration debates. Our existing board has experience in communication, governance, fundraising and while we have people with lived experience of immigration, we want to have stronger representation. We are looking for a new trustee to join our board who has direct experience of the immigration system.

We know it can be daunting to join a board, particularly if you haven’t done it before, so we want to make it as easy as possible for you to join us and participate fully in our discussions. Both the Chair and Chief Executive are committed to enable this.

We have quarterly board meetings which take place in London, but there is also the option of attending remotely.

Full job description available here.

For further details or to ask questions please contact Emily.Jones@imix.org.uk. Please apply with a CV and cover letter explaining why you have the skills and experience to fit the role to the same email address by the end of the day on Monday, 31 May.
