IMIX works closely with organisations across the refugee and migration sector to train, support and build communications capacity. We deliver training courses on working with the press and media including interview techniques, social media and digital content, storytelling and audience insights. We also provide one-on-one support for small organisations lacking communications expertise, offering advice and guidance on how to make the best of limited resources and reach a wide audience.
We draw on our experience and contacts within the national and local press to ensure more first-hand stories are shared publicly in the media. By putting a human face and story to complex and divisive issues, we aim to create greater understanding and empathy for those who have made the UK their home.
IMIX believes that collaboration across organisations is essential in changing the conversation about migration. We convene meetings and nurture national campaigns, bringing together different groups of people working on similar issues to maximise potential and create a greater impact.
We do not charge for our services and are open to supporting any group working on migration in all its forms in the UK and beyond. However IMIX is not able to offer any legal advice or assistance in relation to individual asylum claims, immigration status or visas. If you need support in this area, we suggest you contact a frontline organisation such as the Refugee Council, JCWI or Refugee Action.
We are happy to work with organisations according to their individual need but these are just some of the wider services which we can offer:
